Posted on 09. Sep, 2011 by Young Parents Guide.
Just a little project put together. Ken’s research project on Social Media! Ken wrote all these lyrics. Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of something more One the stage, beside the fan, performing world tour Music was my drug, hip-hop was my crack But dad only believed in colleage and after-grad Don’t wanna be no doctor, unless it’s Dr. Dre Don’t wanna be no Marshall, unless Mathers the name But everywhere I go, they treatin me like a slave They tried roll my dice, and choose my fate Playing not raising, is what daddy tried to do Seeing me like a game, where I don’t get to choose To them I just virus, a diease to be tamed Little to do they know that I was destined for fame Everyone called me a dreamer, with they head in the clouds Treat me like shit, with no respect only doubt I’d be going in front of friends, but they’d all laugh me away I’d be rapping for the school but every class arrives late All they see is a wannabe Asian, just tryna be fake Tryina stir up some drama, and ruin my tape I don’t rap to impress, I don’t rap for fame, I play for myself and my love of the game, Heart, Hussle, and Soul, is all I need Tears, Sweet and Love is all bleed I sing for these moment, I sing for these dreams On the stage, on the mic, I sing to be free To all those kids out there, who’re always too scared To see their true potential, too afraid to ever care About the passion inside, to see their parents lies About their future ahead, and their career in mind See I’ve been in your …

“Brenda’s Got a Baby” is the solo debut single by Tupac Shakur, and tenth track from his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now. The song explores the issue of teen pregnancy and its effect on the young mothers and their families. Like many of Shakur’s songs, “Brenda’s Got a Baby” draws from the plight of the impoverished. Using Brenda to represent young mothers in general, Shakur criticises the low level of support from the babies’ father, the government, and society in general. Shakur wrote the song when he read a newspaper article about a twelve-year-old girl who got pregnant from her cousin and, because she didn’t want her parents to know about the baby, threw it in a trash can. The opening consists of a duet singing the songs title repeatedly. Much of the rest of the song is one long verse performed by Tupac. The verse begins with him telling a group that he has heard about Brendas pregnancy. He also notes that the girl has had virtually no education in her life, having only barely obtained minimal skills in writing, and calls this a “damn shame”, criticizing and has little hope in life. Her family is very poor, and her father is a heroin addict. Brenda is impregnated by her unnamed boyfriend, who is her cousin, but she is successfully able to hide her pregnancy. Tupac explains that it wouldnt matter to …
