I know it’s tempting — but it’s only going to invite a power struggle between the two of you.. This week’s tip will help you minimize sibling rivalry and competition. The unfortunate truth about sibling relationships is that there’s a natural sense of rivalry that sets in. There’s nothing you can do to eliminate it completely — but there are things you can do to minimize it. It’s important to be aware of what parents unknowingly do to intensify rivalry. These seem like innocent gestures but they can have harmful and lasting consequences. One of the biggies is to make sure we’re not comparing our kids through labels, spoken or implied. Because, If you’re the smart one, the pretty one, the athletic one — then I must be the opposite. If mom calls me her “wild one” — then that let’s you feel pretty “superior” and that’s a recipe that’s ripe for resentment, very. Some labels are more subtle. If you hand your son a stack of plates to carry into the dining room and you say, “Now hold these very tightly and don’t trip over the rug.” He probably perceives himself as clumsy. If you remind your daughter 15 times every morning to not forget her homework, lunch or PE clothes — you can bet she’s wearing the disorganized or forgetful label. Another subtle but discouraging label is the Go-To Kid: This is the child you can count on to complete a task competently and without much complaining—so whenever you really need something …

It includes localization to French and German with new voices for each along with a new British English voice.
