Support from family members when parents die?

When your parents die, and you have no siblings, spouse or children, who do you receive support from? Do you get support from your extended family members, such as aunts, uncles and cousins even tho they live in the same city but have their own families and lives or do you become an afterthought to them? At Christmas, are you meant to be alone?

Is it weird for a teenager to be close with their parents/family?

I feel immature for my age because I always close to my parents about any problem or concern I have. I don’t really trust too many people about it. And I like to hear about their history as kids and such. Is that weird? It seems as if my cousins aren’t like that with their parent(s) and I feel like a kid when my dad would show concern if I’ve returned from someplace or if my mom and I would talk.

I’m sick of dating my cousins, I just want to be like everyone else and date outside of my family. My parents get angry whenever I suggest it. How can I convince them?
