Take out the trash, eat your broccoli—who needs moms, anyway? Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out just how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. Produced by the team behind Disney’s A Christmas Carol and The Polar Express, MARS NEEDS MOMS showcases Milo’s quest to save his mom—a wild adventure in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D that involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader (Mindy Sterling). With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl called Ki (Elisabeth Harnois), Milo just might find his way back to his mom—in more ways than one. Classification: PG – Mild science fiction violence and some upsetting scenes. MARS NEEDS MOMS Available on DVD SEPTEMBER 14 www.disneymovies.com.au

im taking child care and development in high school. we teach 3-5 year olds. i’m teaching science. the theme is christmas. I already know what I want to do. an activity involving the 5 senses (hear, smell, touch, see, taste) all i need is a food that is already made so its a quick & non messy idea. btw the food has to deal with christmas.

*i was thinking candy canes but i’m not sure how that would work out.

**THANKS IN ADVANCE!(:

Parents- What family traditions did you pass on or start?

I was just wondering how many families really have traditions that go from one generation to another, or if each family as made has thier own and the old ones get forgotten.
candian snow bunny – that is cool.
I also have my kids first of things, I hang on the christmas tree every year the little ormanates that they made when they were in head start or preschool. all the way up to grade school. I also bought them a ormante when they were first born of the year and they hang thier ornamte each year. I also have a doll that was mine from when I was 2 that I will pass on to my daughter, I also bought a second one (just like mine) years ago because i wanted to make sure I could give another daughter if I had one one from the same era . I have a step daughter that will recieve that one. We also have their first chrismtas stocking and we reuse these every year.

I really liked the journal though – sorry I didn’t think of that one.

When your parents die, and you have no siblings, spouse or children, who do you receive support from? At Christmas, are you meant to be alone?
