I have a one and a half year old son and believe in attachment parenting. Extended breastfeeding, cosleeping, baby wearing… but now I’m having triplets, how can I do this with more babies then hands? Also, I never used a breast pump but get the feeling I may need one this time… what kind is best?

Does attachment parenting create kids with mommy issues?

Do you think that parents who use attachment parenting are wrong, crazy, making a big mistake with their children, probably going to kill their children while cosleeping and creating children that will never be able to be independent?
And, if you do, aren’t you judging them?

Isn’t it better to let every parent do what works best for their children, even if you think it’s crazy and wrong?

Does it count toward attachment parenting if a backpack carrier is used?

Does it count toward attachment parenting if a backpack carrier is used? A backpack carrier seems to be the best option for both myself and my 8 month old son. I wear him around the house as I do chores. He is close to me and gets to see everything I do. But, since he is in a backpack carrier and not a front carrier, I’m wondering if my style of carrier will still count toward the positive theory of attachment parenting.

Hi

I want a good attachment parenting book but there are so many to choose from.

Which one do you think is best?

Thanks
I know you can’t learn to be a good parent from a book but i just want to read a few books on different parental styles just in case. Thanks for you opinion anyway.

Attachment Parenting?

Is it possible to do attachment parenting if both parents work outside the home full time and the kids are in daycare full time?
What if both parents work the same shift? Aren’t the kids spending more of their awake time away from the parents than with?
I am actually asking about a friend of mine – she calls herself and "AP" person but both she and her husband work outside the home and keep the kids in daycare full time. She breastfeeds and doesn’t use CIO, but I would think there’s more to it than that.
jen, I’m not trying to pass judgement, I was just taken aback when she said it. I do happen to be a SAHM, and so naturally I am a little confused as to how one develops the "attachment" when they’re away from their kids all day every day. I’m not trying to judge just asking someone to explain, elaborate.

I’ve read alot lately about attachment style parenting…tho i haven’t found many books on the subject..i was just wondering to anyone out there who may have used this parenting technique..what are the long term benefits of this and at what age if any does the "attachment" stop…I’m open to anyone’s opinion on the subject but i’d really love to hear from some parents who practice it. thanx :)
Also what are some books you can reference me too, so far i’ve only been able to locate magazine articles on the topic.
I didn’t mean to sound like i was looking foward to pushing my daughter away at some age sorry if i worded that wrong i just meant that at what point should you be worried as a parent when your child does not seem to be gaining the right amount of independence for his or her age group is this a common problem for children being raised with attachment parenting???..for example children who continue to breast feed/ sleep with mommy and daddy at like age 5..believe it or not, i’ve seen some out there… and thanx for all the positive answers so far :)
